Why IAMScouting was built

Why IAMScouting was built

Every meaningful transfer in modern football still hinges on three things: a

scout who saw the player, a director who trusted that scout, and a window of

attention that opened at exactly the right moment. We've worked across the

clubs, agencies and federations on every side of that triangle, and the

pattern is the same everywhere — the right player exists, but the right

information doesn't reach the right desk in time.

The problem isn't data

There's more football data today than at any point in the sport's history.

Wyscout, InStat, StatsBomb, Smrt, every federation's own tracking — even a

mid-table second-tier club has access to event data on 50,000+ players. The

problem isn't that the data doesn't exist. The problem is that the data

doesn't do anything until somebody who already trusts you tells you to

look at it.

That's what IAMScouting is for.

What we ship

Three surfaces, each solving one specific gap in the existing workflow:

  1. The Scouting Network — a board of live agent leads, scout-verified

trip pins, and job openings. Public to anyone, gated by reputation

(verified agents float to the top, anonymous tip-offs sink). Replaces

the WhatsApp groups + DM-roulette every working scout already runs.

  1. The Player Matrix — 330 tournaments of harmonised event data behind

a single search. Camelot-wheel role-fit, hidden-attribute reads,

construction-site audits when a club has 2 holes and 4 names. Sub-3s

from "I need a left-footed inverted full-back under 24 who fits a 4-3-3

high press" to a ranked shortlist.

  1. The Verification Layer — every agent on the platform gets a

public, cryptographically-signed reputation card. Wins are logged,

disputes are public, ratings are non-bribable. The first time you

read a lead from someone you don't know personally, you'll know in 15

seconds whether they're worth a reply.

What we don't ship

We don't ship a CRM. We don't ship video-clip libraries. We don't ship

white-label "Wyscout-but-cheaper" — that market is over and the incumbents

already won. We ship the missing connective tissue that turns existing

data into existing decisions faster.

Where we go next

The next eighteen months are about closing the loop end-to-end:

lead → verification → shortlist → trip → signed deal, all visible

on one screen, all auditable, all surfaced to the right desk before the

agent who saw the player first signs them off-platform.

If you scout, agent, or run a sporting department — start at

/network. The lead board is live, the leaderboard is live,

and the verification flow is open for early agents now.
